Refugee Lifeline is a free, professional and confidential telephone counselling service that provides emotional support to people living in New Zealand who have arrived as refugees. The service is offered in Burmese, Farsi and Arabic. In addition, Dinka and Dari speaking counsellors are sometimes available. They can help with a range of personal problems ranging from psychological and emotional, marriage and family issues, work-related stress, violence or discrimination, loneliness, grief, ill-health or depression. The aim is to facilitate an easier transition to life in New Zealand. Counsellors will maintain confidentiality and anonymity and will not ask for a caller’s name or personal details.

The Funding Information Service is a not-for-profit organisation collecting and distributing information about funding through three searchable computer databases:
Fundview contains information about funding for community groups in New Zealand;
Breakout holds information about awards, scholarships and grants for individual development.
CorporateCitizens provides comprehensive information on New Zealand businesses that are committed to building relationships with community and voluntary organisations. The New Horizons for Women Trust is a New Zealand-wide organisation that promotes second-chance education and training for women, and research on issues which affect women. Women who have not obtained a qualification since leaving school and who are enrolled for further study, may apply for a second-chance award. The closing date for applications is 31 May each year. Women or groups intending to undertake research on women's issues may apply for a research award. The closing date is 31 August each year.
