CEDAW

New Zealand’s four-yearly ‘report card’ to the United Nations on the status of women.

As a member state of the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), New Zealand is required to report every four years on the status of New Zealand women.  CEDAW sets out an agenda for countries to end discrimination against women and each report covers progress since the previous report.  For more information go to CEDAW.

The Ministry of Women’s Affairs would like to thank all those who provided comments and ideas over the years on the draft of all New Zealand’s CEDAW Reports to the United Nations on New Zealand's implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW).
