Other Nomination ServicesAside from the Ministry of Women's Affairs, there are five government departments representing population or interest groups providing nominations services to Ministers and government agencies recruiting board members. You can contact any nominations service if you are a member of that population group or interest group and have an interest in being on their database. |
Private sector organisationsThe IoD is recognised as a leading voice on best practice governance. It is a membership organisation of over 5000 individuals representing organisations large and small. It promotes excellence in corporate governance, represents directors interests and facilitates their professional development through education and training. As the professional body for boards and board members in New Zealand, the IoD helps directors develop skills in governance. Joining as a member is a way to keep your knowledge current, learn from the experiences of other directors, and access information and services that will help you achieve best practice in your role as a director. New Zealand Shareholders Association (NZSA)The NZSA was formed in 2001 to clean up poor board and company performance. Their contribution has made a significant difference to board governance process, attitudes to shareholders and risk taking. NZ Human Rights CommissionThe New Zealand Human Rights Commission (HRC) publishes the Census of Women's Participation. The Census monitors the appointment of women to leadership roles in the state sector, corporate, legal, academic and other fields. You can find the latest census on the HRC website. |
